So it has been a long time since I posted but what is time its an man made method to keep us on track - I opt for self setting and enjoy the moment. I'm for the moment here and there and fast forward or pause or rewind to review things done. For me at least I want to enjoy the moments create memories and forsake the mention of time. So what have I been up to - Traveling it seems that that bug has urged me to do and see. I have enjoyed several trips to Canada - Calgary being a favorite - I have dived into a new interest Hockey - I follow the Everett Silvertips in the minor and the Calgary Flames - a couple of years ago I saw an benefit game where the team opened their ice to benefit several local charities AB Children's Hospital was one. I also like the Winnipeg Jets. My Birthday month just occurred and Greg's family gifted me a ticket to see the Calgary Flames play the Vancouver Canucks and they even purchased a personalized jersey for me # 66 for the year of my birth - and since I don't think red is a flattering color on me it makes me feel like tomato. Kinda of reminds me of Violet Beauregarde so I would not envision me turning into a tomato -- cuz I have learned to give up on the blueberry desert.
I went to the state of Kansas to visit Greg's inlays and I saw amazing things there. A Space Center in Hutchinson, a newly created visitor center for the Flint Hills, and even an opening of a Mormon Temple- I went to see the interior of the building (since the only temple I have been in was the one in Phoenix that was in the 1980's before I left for here).
My Kansas trip was a whirl wind tour and I took in many splendors including a historic small time frame in which 121 Tornados touched down. I did not see a yellow brick road anywhere but I was prepared to see OZ. Sadly I was so pressed for time I did not make it to this location. I guess there is so much to do there I will have to revisit to make it worth my investment to memories.
Now I rest and work for a while before I do another whirl wind trip this one to celebrate my brothers 40th Birthday in Billings Montand I leave on the early afternoon of June 13th for an drive all night marathon to arrive sometime on the 14th sleep off the drive on the June 15th and attend the Birthday celebration on the 16th only to turn around and repeat that drive back home and report to work on Tuesday June 19th. Then rest and work before I make a similar trip to California- I am flying to save time I am off after work on July 11th to arrive and sleep and then attend a concert the albums that will be preformed are "Human's Lib & Dream Into Action" by Howard Jones -- I never suspected I would see him in the US. The date I am seeing him is July 12th. And who do I have to thank for introducing me to this and in fact all the 80's culture music but Carolyn.
I rest for a bit more while after returning only to be taking in a concert in our back yard so to speak at 10th Aug Marymoor Amphitheater to see a band that Purple Mark introduced me to Dead Can Dance.
To top things off I have started a process an attempt to immigrate to Canada my chosen province is going to be Alberta - while I British Columbia offers similar climate to Seattle - Alberta is in the mists of a mineral boom and the province is gearing for a influx of residents. I am unsure if I will be successful but I am going to start the process as it may take sometime. I am concerned about the direction of my home country and its ability to meet its obligations when I retire which is another time frame I must consider make changes now even if it means immigrating.
